Question
Dialing from a cell phone?
When dialing from your cell, does the operator always ask you for your location as far as your city and state? I just wanted to make sure I know what I am suppose to do when dialing from my cell in case I am in an emergency situation where help is needed. That is my fear when I am out alone with my children in a different towncity or traveling with them. What is the process after dialing from your cell? I thought operators always had an idea of where you were calling from.
Answer
Whether they can get your location is dependent on the technology they have available to them. Some centers do have it, some dont.brbrAlways know your location so you can tell them where your at. As others have said, they are going to ask regardless to make sure they are sending help to the right location. The info they get from the computer can be wrong.
